Cheating During Testing You Got Caught Cheating
The run is over. Read the prompt, then change one habit — not your whole loadout.
When Cheating During Testing spots you, the exam ends. There is no mid-test recovery. The You got caught cheating screen (sometimes a panic line, sometimes a shout that a named student was caught) is the confirmation. After that you may see a keep your inventory Yes/No prompt, then you are back in the lobby. This page is the post-mortem, not a way to undo the catch.
What the screens mean
The caught UI is not a minigame. Yes/No about inventory is about whether you keep gadgets you already bought — it does not restore the paper. Do not mash. Read which currency or items the prompt is talking about, especially if a Credit pack or phone is sitting in the Shop cart from the last lobby. Parents sharing accounts should already have Roblox purchase locks on; this prompt is not the place to discover that.
A You panicked style line usually means you moved during a stare or let Anxiety hit 100%. A [name] was caught cheating! shout is public. In a 24-player room that shout is also a snitch advertisement. Sit quietly next round. Do not argue in chat with the phone still bound to a hotkey.
The three real causes
Almost every fail is one of these:
- The teacher’s head faced you while the phone or sheet was out — Avoid Getting Caught.
- Anxiety hit 100% and deleted every window — Pencil Trick and Anxiety and Hunger.
- Another student reported you for about 20 Credits — Snitching.
Distance is not the cause. Front seats survive if the head is away. Corner seats die if you hold the phone through a turn. Recheck Classroom Map only after you have ruled out those three.
Keep-inventory decisions
If the prompt asks whether to keep inventory, think about what you already own. A first phone tier is worth keeping. A misclicked snack stack is not a crisis. There is no verified refund desk. If you are unsure, keep functional phones and skip emotional Robux tools from Robux Shop.
BETA copy can change. If the prompt wording differs from this page, the client wins. Note it against Latest Update.
One-variable reset
Do not buy Glasses, Watch, and a Credit pack because you died once. Change one thing:
- Died to a stare: shorter holds, more pencil.
- Died at 100% Anxiety: face forward between peeks, raise sensitivity as in Controls.
- Died to a report: shorter bursts, do not sit next to last round’s snitch.
- Died while copying: you mixed Test Versions. Photograph yourself.
Then Join. The Timing Checklist exists so the next exam is a test of one hypothesis.
After a patch
The 26 August 2026 client bump can make old muscle memory feel like a new catch rule. Play one clean exam with no scripts. If CM Hub was on, assume it contributed until you survive without it. Scripts do not make the caught screen kinder.
Social aftermath
If you were shouted out, expect copycats to watch your desk. Take a worse seat that you can see, or requeue. Party and Trust still applies: friends in public lobbies can still report you. VIP remains off.
Practice that actually transfers
Run the Getting Started first-hour plan even if you already own a phone. Caught veterans skip fundamentals and buy more Shop. The Shop does not holster for you. Phone Trick plus pencil is the loadout that survives the prompt.
Getting caught is data. Read the screen, keep the phone if you have one, change one habit, and stop refreshing code lists — Codes are still empty.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common classroom questions.
Can I finish the test after I get caught?
No. The caught screen ends the run. You return to the lobby after the inventory prompt.
Should I click Yes on keep inventory?
Keep phones and useful gadgets. The prompt does not restore the exam. See Shop Items for what is worth owning.
Why did I get caught when the teacher was far away?
Head direction and Anxiety matter more than distance. Read Avoid Getting Caught.
Did a snitch catch me?
Possible. Reports pay about 20 Credits. Shorten phone holds and see Snitching.
